Skil 7290-01 2 Amp 1/4 Sheet Sander with Dust Canister Overview

I still remember shop class where we had to hand sand our projects until I thought my arm would fall off. Thank goodness for palm sanders. The Skil 7290-01 Palm Sander is the perfect tool for putting the final finish on wood or for prepping metal, plastic or sheet rock prior to coating or painting. The sanding surface accepts a 1/4 sheet of any grit sandpaper and comes with a paper punch that makes six holes in the sandpaper once it's mounted. The holes prevent gumming caused by dust buildup and they also provide a path for the dust to reach the built-in Micro Filter Dust Canister. The collection canister can be easily removed for cleanup or for filter replacement.Quarter-sheet sandpaper replacement is made easy by the two tension clamps; one located on the front and one on the rear of the tool. The 7290-01 has all the features you have come to expect from Skil: an ergonomically designed soft-grip handle, dust-protected switch, ball-bearing construction for longer life and a powerful 2 amp motor.
